There’s a lot to be said about crystal healing as a complimentary medicine practice that uses crystals and gemstones for a wide variety of healing and therapeutic properties. Crystals are natural. They are created from minerals deep inside the earth. Each crystal has a unique healing property derived from these minerals from which it is composed. The action of crystals may be described as subtle however, crystals are capable of amplifying, focusing, directing, absorbing, diffusing and transmitting different levels of healing energy.

Crystal healing has been used since the dawn of the human race. It is a fact that crystals emit tiny electrical impulses which activate the human body’s neurological system in a subtle manner. Different crystals possess their own unique energy signal, producing different effects.

Crystal Healing is the art of laying on stones (crystals and gems) in coordination with the body’s energy field, energy centres and energy pathways also known as the aura, the chakras and the meridians. Correct placement of crystals on the body will promote emotional and mental harmony. It is in this state that the body experiences the perfect conditions to heal naturally.  Crystal healing is a fascinating topic, and so much has been written and studied about these bright, lustrous and natural objects across a wide range of cultures. Though our personal beliefs in the healing properties of crystals vary, whether or not you adhere to crystal healing, know that these beautiful stones provide ideal objects upon which to focus positive intentions. Much like filling a space with plants improves the feeling of the space, we find that crystals and gemstones infuse our homes and workspace with positive vibes.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the  "life force energy" which flows through. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.  Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."
